I haven’t “blogged” for a while recently. I’ve been around the country though representing drivers. Two particular highlights include representing a taxi driver in Bradford who through my diligent work and representations was able to avoid a ban. The matter was doubly serious because the policy of the local taxi licencing committee is to ban drivers who are banned for a further six months if they receive a court mandated disqualification. This was a critical point we highlighted. I also represented a coach driver who specialises in European routes and a hardworking company director. Both avoided draconian driving bans.
