These are the areas of law I am expert in.
My timescales
My timescales for work will vary depending on how busy I am but in general written work is turned around within seven to 14 days.
Commonly used pricing model
My most commonly used pricing model is fixed fees for each stage of work undertaken.
Further details on motoring fees
I can advise and represent you in court if you are charged with a ‘summary only’ motoring offence. This is a motoring offence which can only be heard in the Magistrates’ Court; for example, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, careless driving, failing to stop or report, and speeding.
Timescales
Timescales for my services may vary depending on factors such as barristers’ availability, the complexity of your case and the need for additional documents.
As a guide, written advice on your case will be available as soon as possible and within a week.
You may also need representation at short notice. If so, please me and I will aim to represent you at the hearing where possible.
Fees
I normally charge fixed fees, which means that I will charge you a set amount of money for the work. Below I provide an estimate of fees. All fees include VAT (where applicable). If I charge fixed fees, these may vary depending on your needs – for example, your fees may be towards the higher end of the range if you have a complex case.
If you have a particularly complex case, your fees may also be higher than the estimates below.
Stage of case including VAT
Ranges of fixed fees (estimates)
Guilty pleas £540-900
First appearance (pre-trial court appearance) – £540 to 900
£900-1500 – first day of trial
£600-1000 second day of trial and each day thereafter
All information is correct as of August 2021, but fees are estimates only. For a quotation, please contact me.
On the very rare occasions I charge an hourly rate it is normally between £350 plus VAT per hour. This is rare for this work as I can normally price it as a fixed fee.
