The Criminal Courts Charge

I have little time for Chris Grayling, a Lord Chancellor who was about as well qualified for the job as I am to be an interstellar astronaut. He managed to keep his most wretched reform of the justice system  – the Criminal Courts Charge – right to the very end of his tenure with its passing via a Statutory Instrument in March 2015. For road traffic clients it means a “tax” should you be convicted on top of  any fine and court costs.
