Unlike so many lawyers who undertake road traffic work I used to work at the CPS as a Senior Crown Prosecutor and have a far better understanding of how the prosecution approaches and analyses such cases. I have lost count of the number of drink drive, speeding and other road traffic trials I prosecuted when at the CPS. As for the Chelsea reference one of my claims to fame is prosecuting Joe Cole, the former Chelsea, Liverpool and England footballer, for traffic offences when I was a Senior Crown Prosecutor!
