My Parole Board Work

One of the most fascinating areas I practice is in is with my Parole Board work. These hearings generate some very difficult questions. Is the prisoner safe to be released? Should they be transferred into open conditions or are they ready for release into the community? Can they be trusted in the community? Are the risk levels low enough to be managed outside the prison environment? Balancing the competing demands of rehabilitating prisoners and protecting the public is an unenviable task.
